PAC
Our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is focused on two key goals:
- Enhancing the quality of school life for our children and,
- Increasing opportunities for parental involvement.
PAC supports many activities that serve to nurture and develop interpersonal and leadership skills for our students.
A sampling of past PAC activities include:
- Tamara Pearl sister of late Daniel Pearl, (Wall Street Journal reporter killed by terrorists in Pakistan) spoke about Mr. Pearl and the foundation that honours his name.
- Salsa night – social for all KDHS parents.
- Casino Royale – outstanding fundraiser that serves to support many school needs.
In our role as parents on this committee we are able to:
- Provide a critical link between parents, teachers and administration
- Educate parents, staff, and the community about the role of PAC in the school and the community
- Provide ideas and input to PAC from a parent's perspective on programming and fundraising
- Provide parental advocacy
If you would like more information about The Parent Advisory Committee and would like to participate in one or more of these activities:
- Organize and implement a social event
- Organize or suggest topics for an education night for families
- Attend PAC meetings
