Teaching for Tomorrow 2010

On the evening of Sunday, May 30, 2010 King David High School proudly announces its third annual gala event “Teaching for Tomorrow” at the River Rock Resort in Richmond, British Columbia.

The theme of the evening, Education against all Odds: Tales of Triumph will feature two incredible women who have overcome remarkable challenges to achieve their goals. These two women symbolize hope and the value of believing in one’s dreams.

Tererai Trent, recently interviewed on Oprah, will describe her journey from a forced marriage at age eleven in Zimbabwe to fulfilling her dream of receiving a doctorate in the United States. Read more...
