Excellence in Education
Excellence in Education will fund new and future programsIncoming Grade 8 students in the 2009-2010 school year have the option of selecting an accelerated Math and Science program that challenges and motivates them to complete three years of general Math and Science in two years. This opportunity allows students to begin the many rigorous Grade 11 and 12 Math and Science courses required for university in their Grade 10 year.
We strive to create educational experiences that give our students practical and vital learning opportunities in the real world. Currently our students have opportunities to study at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., to debate world politics and issues in Montreal at the Model UN Conference, and have a unique experience in Israel visiting our sister school in the Upper Galilee.
We are developing programs that focus on leadership and personal development through both class and outdoor education experiences. In addition, we are working to develop trips that provide opportunities for our students to learn about Eastern Canadian Universities, or to study Jewish culture and experience in New York.
