Writing Mid-Year Exams

Everyone is focused during the Math 11 exam.

Mid-Year Exams are essential for solidifying ideas learned in the first half of the school year and important in developing good study habits and time management skills in our students. For the past week, during our Mid-Year Exam period, students have written an exam in the morning and then followed an adjusted schedule for the remainder of the day. These exams give them important practice in exam writing – getting familiar with the format of questions, organizing their answers, building clear responses, writing accurately, and practicing dealing with stressful situations. As an added bonus to make exam days a bit less stressful, each morning Student Council provided hot chocolate and cookies for a little extra boost.
Justine Balin wins Chopped Canada Teen!

Waiting to hear who was chopped after the first round. Justine is on the right.

Mazal Tov, Justine! What an incredible accomplishment! You were composed, creative, and a fierce competitor!

Who knew you could create a delicious dish using tinned ham, gorgonzola piccante cheese, mint chocolate cookies, and dried cherries? Justine did!

Justine says she has been overwhelmed by the amount of community support she has received since the program aired.
