And We’re Off … to a Great Start!
Eager to reconnect with friends after the long summer vacation, staff and students began arriving early on Tuesday morning. The building quickly filled with shrieks of happiness as friends arrived and hugs were shared!
Catching up on summer news!

At a school-wide assembly students cheered as Mr. Monchamp welcomed them, displaying their happiness to be back. Following the assembly, Grades 9 – 12 went off to their classes and the new Grade 8 students remained in the Atrium, spending time playing games geared to getting to know the building, each other and some of the staff.

We are all set to have an exciting year together!

Class of 2014 Mezuzah!

All of our 2014 graduates received a special King David Mezuzah from PAC to take with them as they went off to their post-secondary locations.

“After my room was all set up, we had a special Mezuzah ceremony to mark my new home for the school year.  The Mezuzah looks great!”

Goodbye, Andrea!
                    Welcome, Shannon!
Sadly, today was Andrea Bennett’s last day at King David. She is moving on to work with an organization where she has been volunteering for many years. Best of luck, Andrea! We will miss you!!

“Thanks for welcoming me into the school community, and best of luck with your school year!”

Shannon working with Andrea today.
We are happy to welcome Shannon Saito! Prior to starting the position as King David’s Communications and Administrative Assistant, Shannon worked as a Business Development Coordinator and Project Coordinator at a local healthcare consulting company following graduation from UBC in 2012. March of the Living

“Walking through the death site of
one million Jewish souls, hand-in-hand with a survivor
who’s family lies there, was something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. The March of the Living is an incredibly unique experience- it changed my entire perspective on my responsibility as a Jewish individual as well as a witness of the sights in which our people faced unimaginable horrors.”
       ~  Joelle, Grade 11
