What a year … time to take a look back!

Final Exams …

Students in all grades were busy this week writing final exams. Final exams are written for English, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science courses (including Provincial Exams in English 10, Mathematics 10, Science 10, Social Studies 11 and English 12). Other courses completed their final exams in the weeks leading up to the end of classes.

Grade 11 English and Grade 9 Science exams
have the students focused!

Teachers have been reviewing work and answering questions in class and are also providing last minute tutorial sessions during lunch and after school. Students have had a final exam every day since Wednesday, and the last exams of the year will take place on Monday. We know our students are working exceptionally hard, and we wish them well in their continued studies.

After the final exams are marked, report cards will be available on the PCR Parent Portal at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 26.

We wish the students a last ‘book filled’ weekend before some well-earned time to relax as the summer vacation begins!

Kol Hakavod!

Max, Kai, Oren, Matthew, Colin and Noahm pose with the Mayor of Kelowna after receiving the Bronze medal!

A group of Grade 10 and 11 King David students, Kai, Max, Noahm, Colin, Matthew, Oren and Shane (not pictured), formed a flag football team, the “Nova Scotians” (part of the Westside Warriors club), and competed as underdogs in the provincial championship in Kelowna two weeks ago. Coached by Wayne Balshin, the boys earned a hard-won bronze medal in a nail-biting final round. The Mayor of Kelowna was on hand to present medals to the only entirely Jewish team in the 1200-member competition.

Todah Rabah!

Thank you to all our tribute card donors who choose King David as a way to acknowledge the simchas and sorrows of our community. Throughout the year, the hundreds of small and meaningful tribute card donations we receive help King David to offer a dynamic and vibrant learning environment, one where students get the support to succeed, the values to guide, and the confidence to lead.

Tribute donations include a card with your personalized message. Tax receipts are issued with a donation of $18 or more.

To order a tribute card online, click here, or call 604.263.9700.

With appreciation, we acknowledge the tribute card donations made in June.
