Thank you for Cruising with Us!

The Love Boat Event Montage

Our thanks to the many parents, grandparents and community members who came out last night in support of our annual winter fundraiser. This year’s Love Boat theme brought warmth and cheer on a cold night in December. Our guests enjoyed all the amenities our cruise had to offer – good food and drink, live entertainment, casino games, a spa, a photo booth, and even an art auction featuring student work.

A special thank you to Jill Hasman and Corry Flader, Co-chairs extraordinaire, and their dedicated hard working committee. You made it smooth sailing for all those aboard!

Proceeds of the event including the PAC raffle support student scholarships for school trips and other experiential learning programs.

We are continually grateful to all of our sponsors, and to the Marsid Family Foundation for continuing to honour Sheryl Michelson Young nee Doduck z”l through this event. Thank you to Adele Lewin Photography for the images used in the montage.

Grade 10 Blogging Perfection!

Mazal Tov, Rikki!

This year, we have been working hard on our elaborate English blogs. Throughout this term, there have been three different blog tasks that have pushed us to go outside of the box and create writing that is both crisp and creative. Now as the term is coming to a close, we had the Bloggers Award to find out who had the best overall blog in the class. With a funky theme and very original writing, it was clear to the class that there were two clear winners. This term, the two best overall blogs go to Rikki and Rachel. Congratulations to both and we look forward to next term where we will find out whose blog will take it all.

Why choose King David?

You should choose King David because you want a high school that is as much about excellence in education, as it is about community and family. You should choose King David because you want a small school where you can get the support to succeed, the values to guide and the confidence to lead. You should choose King David because you want a school that vibrates with the energy of fellow students seeking knowledge, exploring their Jewish heritage — and having fun doing it. No other high school in the province will challenge the cultivation of talents or interests in the intellectual, artistic, spiritual and physical realms – along with the Jewish self.
